
Savory cannoli made with slices of sandwich bread fried in the oven or in the air fryer and filled with a creamy shredded chicken and robiola filling. Optional decoration with coriander and sesame seeds to recall Brazilian colors.
Preparing the toast shells: remove the dark crusts from the sandwich bread slices.
Flatten each slice well with a rolling pin until thin and compact.
Wrap the slice around a metal cannoli cylinder, sealing the seam with a drop of water or oil and pressing well.
Cook in the air fryer at 190°C for 5 minutes, until golden and rigid (they can also be baked in the oven).
Let cool completely before removing the cylinder.
For the filling: in a pan, sauté the chopped onion and garlic with a drizzle of oil, add the shredded chicken and tomato paste and let it flavor for a few minutes.
Once lukewarm, mix the chicken in a bowl with the robiola until you obtain a creamy and homogeneous mixture.
Transfer the filling to a piping bag.
Fill the cooled bread cannoli with the chicken and robiola filling.
