PIGNOLETTO FRIZZANTE (sparkling) One of the most interesting Italian native white grape varieties. Pignoletto has a strong personality. It has a straw yellow color with slight greenish reflections, a delicate, fruity, intense nose with a fragrance of Hawthorne flowers. One of the surprising things about this wine is how different it can taste compared to its aroma. If made sparkling or vivacious (so sparkling or slightly sparkling, thanks to a small use of the charmat method), the wine retains a brilliant acidity and minerality, but lively, while the still version of the wine can be surprisingly full. Excellent as an aperitif.
