
Denomination: Bolgheri DOC Grape variety: 50% Syrah, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon Name: Re Ludio Alcohol: 14° Format: 0.75L Production area: Castagneto Carducci (LI), Tuscany, Italy Description: Vinification is done in a traditional way, manual harvest of the grapes, fermentation on the skins at controlled temperature (28°-30°C) for about a week, maceration on the pomace continues for at least another 10 days with frequent pump-overs followed by soft pressing. Aging in French oak tonneaux where malolactic fermentation is completed for about 10 months. Then in the bottle for a few months. Wine with the prospect of excellent longevity. The color is bright ruby red with violet reflections. On the nose it is intensely herbaceous with notes of vanilla, tobacco and ripe fruit. On the palate it is warm, soft, full with sweet and fresh tannins with great breadth and taste persistence. Recommended pairing with meat-based first courses or risottos, red meats, roasts, grilled dishes, braised dishes and cheeses of good aging. Recommended temperature: 16-18° C.
