Yes, plant-based hair dye can be applied to hair previously coloured chemically. Wait at least 3–4 weeks and perform a deep wash with silicone-free shampoo to remove residues that could prevent the herbs from adhering. How long should I leave it on for warm brown without it turning red? For a deep brown while minimising Lawsonia's red, leave the blend on for about 90 minutes.
