We created it to enhance the flavor of fresh basil, Sicilian almonds AND the extra virgin olive oil of our region. Wholesome, local ingredients All ingredients are carefully selected and processed inside the Siracusa Prison, without the addition of preservatives or artificial flavorings. The basil comes from small local farmers belonging to our ethical supply chain, such as Beppe Montana and Cooperativa Libera Terra. The almonds, 100% Sicilian and organic, are peeled in our laboratory to shorten the supply chain and guarantee maximum product freshness. The extra virgin olive oil is produced with cultivars typical of southeastern Sicily, such as Tonda Iblea pressed by the Pianogrillo Azienda of Chiaramonte Gulfi (RG). The sea salt comes from the salt pans of the WWF Nature Reserve of Trapani. Dolci Evasioni Pesto di Mandorle received the Silver Medal ("excellent" product) at the 2020 Premi Internazionali del Gusto.
