Designation: Grillo Sicilia DOC Variety: 100% Grillo Name: Tagòs Vendemmia Tardiva Alcohol: 13° Format: 0.75L Production area: Marsala (TP), Sicily, Italy Description: Late harvest is the key to understanding an enveloping white wine, made with grapes that are strictly hand-picked after a natural drying on the vine. The process then continues with a manual de-stemming, a low-temperature maceration, until fermentation in tonneaux. Ageing takes place in steel for several months. Winemaking is done in a traditional manner. The color is intense straw yellow, with golden reflections tending to amber. On the nose, complex aromas of very ripe white-fleshed fruits such as pineapple and apricot are perceived, mixed with hints of spices, honey, and aromatic herbs. On the palate it is pleasant, harmonious, with a delicate, slightly persistent finish. Recommended pairing with dessert after meals, particularly mousse and Bavarian cream. Ideal with aged cheeses. Recommended temperature: 10-12° C.
