
Designation: Terre Siciliane IGP Syrah Grape variety: 100% Syrah Name: Sant'Anselmo Syrah Alcohol: 13.5° Format: 0.75L Production area: Slopes of Monte Jato, Monreale (PA), Sicily, Italy Description: Manual harvest of the grapes, vinification takes place using traditional methods; the subsequent alcoholic fermentation with the skins is done for several days at 25-26 °C. Maturation is carried out with an initial passage in stainless steel containers for about 5/6 months, followed by a passage in barrique for another 3 months. Refinement is then done in the bottle for about 5/6 months. The color is carmine red with clear garnet reflections. On the nose, fruity, floral, vegetal and spicy notes are perceived with hints of berries, blueberries, currants, wilted purple flowers, notes of black pepper, licorice, rhubarb and cocoa. On the palate it is dry, warm, moderately fresh and tannic, balanced, intense, persistent and harmonious; we find the same aromas perceived on the nose.
