
Pineau des Charentes (DOC) is a mistelle, meaning a grape must in which the alcoholic fermentation is interrupted by the addition of Cognac. Originating from the Charentes region, known for the production of Cognac, Pineau des Charentes is created by combining two thirds of grape must and one third of aged Cognac in French oak barrels. Only Cognac winegrower-distillers, known as "Bouilleurs de Cru", are allowed to produce it. We present you Pineau des Charentes Blanc, a nectar with an unexpected and generous taste. Terroir: clay-limestone soil with an oceanic climate. Grape varieties: Colombar and Ugni Blanc. In the cellar: the white grape juice macerates in oak barrels for at least 24 months, with the addition of Cognac aged for at least 2 years.
