
The White Label Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT 2017 from the winery I Balzini is an intense and elegant red wine, with a strong territorial connotation. Grape variety: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon. Vineyard: Pliocene-origin soil, sedimentary formation characterized by the presence of yellow sands alternating with clays. Notable presence of marine fossils. Cultivation system: Soil processing alternated with grassing and spur pruning of the vine. Thinning of clusters during growth and final selection at harvest; at harvest, the clusters are hand-picked, placed in small boxes, and further selected on the conveyor belt. Winemaking: Maceration in steel tanks at controlled temperature of 26-28°C for about 2 weeks. Malolactic fermentation completed. Aging: In medium-toasted French oak barriques, of which 50% new for about 12 months, followed by a refinement period in the bottle for at least 18 months. Year: 2017. Alcohol Percentage: 14% vol.
