The Mini Jasmine White Tea Shou Mei 2022 combines the fresh taste of jasmine with the delicacy of white tea harvested in Fuding, in the province of Fujian. These mini squares of Jasmine Shou Mei are made with pressed white tea Shou Mei and whole jasmine flowers. Since this tea does not undergo any traditional jasmine scenting process, the taste and aroma of jasmine are very delicate. This allows the tea base to fill in a brighter way in terms of flavors, while the jasmine flowers add a light floral aroma to the aftertaste. This tea is already conveniently divided into single doses of about 5g-8g per piece: enjoy a worry-free tea break with the perfect amount of tea, whenever you want. Tasting - Sight and smell The leaves of Mini Jasmine White Tea Shou Mei are pressed into a square brick and present a color palette ranging from various shades of green to the cream white of the whole jasmine flowers. The infusion is sweet and very aromatic: it spreads notes of honey, jasmine, and yellow fruit. In the cup, the liquor is a beautiful golden yellow, with a silky mouthfeel and light body, free from astringency and bitterness. Definitely a tea that invites you to drink one cup after another. Tasting Notes GONG FU CHA The first infusion of Mini Jasmine White Tea Shou Mei gives fresh and floral notes of jasmine, immediately followed by the intense sweetness of acacia honey. With the second infusion, the honey becomes even more pronounced and notes of peach and dried apricot appear. With the third infusion and those that follow, a note of beeswax comes through, followed by notes of vanilla. The floral and fresh qualities of jasmine persist, characterizing this special tea with their delicacy. IN THE WEST The opening is very sweet, with notes of acacia honey followed by the floral scents of jasmine, perfectly perceivable but never excessive or intrusive: the balance is definitely a strong point of this Mini Jasmine White Tea Shou Mei. Secondly, one can perceive fruity hints of apricot preserves and ripe summer fruit. The intense sweetness of this tea surprises in how well it is balanced by the freshness of the jasmine flowers, which cleanse the palate and linger pleasantly for a long time in persistence. Place of origin Zhenghe, Fujian - China Infusion method We highly recommend infusing the Mini Jasmine White Tea Shou Mei using the traditional Chinese method (Gong Fu Cha) with a gaiwan holding about 150 ml. Following this preparation, with 1 single piece it is possible to make multiple infusions to capture all the flavor nuances of the tea. Heat the water to a temperature of 90°C: proceed with a brief rinse of the leaves and then a first infusion of 20 seconds. Keeping the water at the same temperature, you can continue to use the same leaves by adding more water and increasing the infusion time by 10 seconds each time (20 - 30 - 40...). This tea has a longevity of about 6 infusions. For a more classic preparation in the Western style, we recommend 1 single piece in a 200 ml cup with water at 90°C for an infusion time of 3 minutes. For a better tasting experience, we suggest filtering the tea immediately after the infusion time ends. The suggested infusion times can be slightly modified to your liking to achieve a more or less intense taste. Benefits of White Tea The category of White Teas, along with that of Green Teas, can provide a moderate energetic effect thanks to its caffeine and amino acid content. The high presence of buds and young leaves in the Mini Jasmine White Tea Shou Mei allows for an infusion with a significant presence of antioxidants and minerals. Depending on the type of white tea and its origin, it is also possible to feel a pleasant sense of freshness or warmth at the end of the drink. This makes the product suitable for all seasons.
