A perfect combination of White Tea Tangerine Shoumei: precious Xinhui tangerine peels of the highest quality, sourced from Guangdong province, blend with aged Shoumei white tea leaves, harvested in 2017. This unique pairing creates a restorative and aromatic tea, valued in traditional Chinese medicine as a natural remedy against seasonal colds. The White Tea Tangerine Shoumei is packaged in mini pressed cakes of about 5 grams each, perfect for serving two people using the traditional GongFu Cha method or for preparation in a Western style with 500 ml of water. The compact format makes it an ideal travel companion, easy to carry and enjoy anywhere. Place of origin: Fujian, China. Preparation: we highly recommend infusing this tea using the traditional Chinese method (Gong Fu Cha) with a gaiwan of approximately 150 ml capacity. By following this preparation, one can make multiple infusions with a disc to capture all the flavor nuances of the tea. Heat the water to a temperature of 85°C and proceed with the first infusion for 40 seconds. Keeping the water at the same temperature, you can then continue to use the same leaves, adding more water and increasing the infusion time by 10 seconds each time (40 – 50 – 60...). This tea has a longevity of 6-8 infusions. For a more classic preparation in Western style, we recommend 3 grams of leaves (about half a disc) in a 200 ml cup with water at 85°C for an infusion time of 3 minutes. For a better tasting experience, we suggest filtering the infusion immediately after the infusion time is complete. The infusion times we suggest can also be slightly modified to your liking to achieve a more or less intense flavor. It is advised to store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
