Cherries in spirit are a delicious traditional Italian dessert, particularly widespread in the Emilia-Romagna region. Cut the cherry stems about one centimeter from the base
Rinse them in a bowl and dry them very gently, then place them in glass jars, trying not to leave too many empty spaces
Sprinkle them with enough sugar, add a little cinnamon and cloves, and cover them with alcohol
Seal and leave to rest in a cool, dark place for about two months before opening the jars
