
The White Label Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT 1998 from the winery I Balzini is an intense, elegant red wine, with a pronounced territorial connotation. \Grape variety: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon \Vineyard: pliocene origin soil, sedimentary formation characterized by the presence of yellow sands alternating with clays. Notable presence of marine fossils. \Cultivation system: Soil processing alternated with greening and pruning of the vine to a spurred cordon. Thinning of bunches during growth and final selection at harvest; at harvest, the bunches are hand-picked, placed in small boxes, and selected again on the conveyor belt. \Vinification: Maceration in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature of 26-28°C for about 2 weeks. Malolactic fermentation completed. \Aging: In medium-toasting French oak barriques, of which 50% new for about 12 months, followed by refinement in bottle for at least 18 months. \Year: 1998 \Alcohol Percentage: 14% vol.
