
The Folgore San Gimignano Rosso DOC 2015 by Panizzi is a Tuscan blend that comes from a single vineyard of about 1 hectare, planted in the 1990s and trained in a lyre with Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet, concentrated through this (very expensive) training method. Dedicated to Folgóre, the poet of the 1300s born in San Gimignano, it is a rare wine with significant aging potential. Grape varieties: Sangiovese 60%, Merlot 20%, and Cabernet Sauvignon 20%. The three varieties are harvested together between the end of September and the beginning of October. Maceration and alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skins for 20 days. Aging in small new oak barrels for a period of 18 months. Alcohol content of 14%. It can be kept optimally for 10 years or more.
