The Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi DOC from Azienda Agricola Mirù is a first-class red wine, produced with the extraordinary grapes grown in vineyards located near Ghemme, a small town in the province of Novara, in Piedmont. A little curiosity: since 1994 the municipality of Ghemme has been part of the "Wine Cities", places carefully selected by the national Association of Wine Cities, an institution present throughout the country and made up of more than five hundred Italian local authorities that brings together all those locations distinguished by their excellent wine production. The name of this wine comes from that of the grape variety from which it is produced, Nebbiolo precisely, whose name seems to derive from the word "fog" because of the particularly late ripening of this grape, which often therefore shifts the harvest to the period of autumn fogs. This wine is characterized by a bright ruby red color. The fragrance, refined and elegant, is characterized by particular aromatic notes of ripe cherry, violet and spices.
