Amaretto ice cream is a delicious creamy and aromatic dessert, perfect for summer days. Its origin is attributed to the Lombardy region, famous for the production of Amaretto di Saronno. The recipe calls for simple ingredients such as milk, fresh cream, egg yolks, sugar, amaretti biscuits and, of course, Amaretto di Saronno. The ice cream is prepared by mixing all the ingredients together and then chilled in an ice cream maker to obtain a perfectly creamy texture. Enjoy it on its own or serve it in a bowl with crumbled amaretti biscuits for an extra touch of crunch.
