Morlacco is a typical cheese from Veneto and in particular from the pastures of Monte Grappa. This peak became famous for the heroic events of the Great War, since the time of the Republic of the Serenissima it had seen the settlement of Balkan peoples, shepherds and woodcutters, who here began to produce a simple cheese that took its name from the region of their origin: Morlachia. It is a cheese made from semi-skimmed raw cow's milk and from a rennet coagulation. This is why its aroma is so intense and its consistency particularly elastic with a pronounced eye structure.
